Returning to University

Last week, I returned to Abertay University for the final year of my undergraduate degree. It was a slightly unfamiliar experience meandering the corridors of the Old College Building, as all course content has been delivered online since this time last year. Although I enjoyed the flexibility of distance learning, it was a massive relief to be back, and to return to a properly structured timetable.

This final year will be crucial in my journey to becoming a sport psychologist. Attaining at least a 2:1 degree classification will satisfy BPS Stage 1, and I am hoping to proceed onto studying a Masters level qualification next year, which will satisfy BPS Stage 2. This year, I will study five different modules which will be added to the six I studied last year to produce my final degree classification. I am currently sitting on a First Class award, so hopefully this year’s modules will add to that - that’s the aim! I can’t wait to get started on my final year project, looking at lifestyle behaviours during the COVID-19 lockdowns. Watch this space!
